1+1=3

I'm not a mathematical genius... but that's totally what happened.

On September 17th i took this bad boy and the results were pretty shocking!

Yep, we found out we were pregnant at 3:30 am on September 17th.

Well, i found out! I didn't know how initially react and i knew Travis would be getting up for work at any second so i called for him a few times before he came zombie grunting and stomping down the hallway, rubbing his eyes just before stopping at the bathroom doorway to say "What the hell do you need?!"

Both of us already annoyed at each other, i just hand him the test. He blinked a few times and then said "Ok? So we're having a baby?", i had to resist the urge to say something sarcastic because i wanted it to be a happy moment, so i decided to cut him some slack since it was 3:30 in the morning. I just nodded and he said "Cool" and gave me a hug.

I know this doesn't sound like the very "happy" reaction i was looking for, but if you know Travis, he is always very calm and collected. Not the greatest at expressing feelings or showing emotion (in 5 years i've seen him cry once, luckily i cry enough at the drop of a hat for both of us!). This was exactly the reaction i was hoping for.

Fast forward a few weeks and we get this little picture.

That is the first "official" picture of our little peanut at about 6 weeks.

12  weeks...

and finally announced it to the world!

Baby boy Nutt, coming soon!

It's so cute how excited Travis is with each passing week. It melts my heart.

My annual blog...

Ok so I am really not the greatest at this blog thing. I haven't posted in about a year! Whoops! In my defense I would have to blog from my phone [which is what I am doing now] and it totally sucks! Moving on...

As I reflect back on 2013, I have a hard time appreciating all the good things the year had to offer and seem to only remember the bad. That's why for 2014 I decided on a couple "resol!utions"...

1. Be happier! I've always been more of a pessimist, glass half empty, type of person. Definitely ready for an attitude change!

2. Be healthy[er]! 2014 is all about baby steps in the right direction.

3. Become more organized! I've always been the kind of person that can't find anything once I've cleaned my room.

4. Be crafty/Develop my talent! I really enjoy making and creating. I've always been more on the "artistic" side growing up. I will be looking forward to picking up old hobbies and especially ones that Travis and I share.

5. Go green! I'm going to continue my commitment to the environment and my health to keep chemicals out of my home! So far so good!

6. Blog more! I don't have any way to document the good, bad and the ugly we call life and I find myself wishing I could remember more details from certain events. Since journaling is something I would do a lot less than this, I really want to use this blog!
Well I kept my "list" pretty short and doable so I don't find myself getting discouraged as this year will be the craziest year of my life as I enter into motherhood.

[More on that soon!]

Well that's it for this post! Can't wait to see what 2014 will bring!
